OW OwnWorth

Terms of service

Last updated 29 August 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and D Proper T, a company registered in England and Wales ("we"), for use of OwnWorth. Using the app means you accept them.

What OwnWorth is — and isn't

OwnWorth is a record-keeping and arithmetic tool. It adds up figures you enter, applies published prices to holdings you name, and projects simple scenarios from assumptions you can see and change.

It is not financial advice. We are not authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority, we do not recommend investments, and nothing in the app is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold anything. Projections are illustrations, not promises — markets fall as well as rise. For advice about your circumstances, speak to a regulated financial adviser.

Your account

You need a working email address, and you're responsible for keeping access to it secure — anyone who can read your inbox can sign in. Keep your data accurate if you want the numbers to mean anything; everything the app shows is derived from what you enter.

Subscription and payment

New accounts include a free trial. After it ends, adding or updating data requires a paid subscription; without one the app becomes read-only — your data stays visible and exportable, always. OwnWorth costs £5.99 per month (see pricing). Payments are handled by Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled.

You can cancel any time from Account → Manage subscription. Cancelling stops the next payment and you keep full access until the end of the period you've paid for. As this is a digital service that starts immediately, statutory cancellation rights end once you begin using it — but if OwnWorth isn't right for you, email hello@ownworth.app within 14 days of paying and we'll refund you.

Your data

Your financial data belongs to you. We claim no ownership of it, we don't sell it, and we don't use it to train anything. You can download all of it at any time (Account → Import & backup) and delete it permanently (Account → Delete account). The privacy policy explains what we store and why.

Availability

We aim to keep the service running, but it's provided "as is" — we don't guarantee uninterrupted availability, and market prices come from third-party sources that can be delayed or wrong. Keep your own backups of anything you'd hate to lose; the app gives you a one-click backup file for exactly this reason.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for financial decisions you make, for losses arising from inaccurate data or prices, or for indirect losses. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't legally be limited. Our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to what you paid us in that period.

Ending it

You may stop using OwnWorth and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end an account that abuses the service, attacks it, or uses it unlawfully — we'll tell you why and give you a chance to export your data unless the law prevents it.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes go to the courts of England and Wales.
